Jannie Koning: “All my brothers and sisters have left the nest and have already gone to the ocean. I wasn’t ready yet, though, and was making my way out of my egg. Luckily, volunteers from STCB excavated my nest, rescued me and I was able to go to the sea. Maybe I will be the one in a thousand that will grow up to be an adult and return to Bonaire to nest.”
